The COUPLING ELEMENT EM18/28/30 is a rubber replacement part for Edwards rotary vane vacuum pumps. It is also called a spider. This small rubber piece sits between the motor coupling and the pump coupling. Its job is to transfer power from the motor to the pump while absorbing vibration and shock. If your pump is noisy or vibrating too much, this part may be worn out. Replace it to make your pump run smooth and quiet again

This listing is for 1 coupling element. Just the rubber spider. You do not get the metal coupling bosses. You only get the rubber insert.
Installation tip
When you install this part, make sure the coupling bosses are clean. No old rubber stuck to them. Also make sure both coupling bosses sit flush with their shafts – no gap. Then put the spider in between and bolt the motor back on .
