The oil thrower is a small, disc-shaped metal component. It is mounted on the rotating shaft inside the pump’s bearing housing .

Here is how it works :

1. Oil reaches the shaft: After lubricating the bearings, oil travels along the rotating shaft.

2. Centrifugal force: As the shaft spins at high speed, the oil thrower spins with it. The spinning motion flings the oil outward by centrifugal force.

3. Oil collection: The flung oil hits the inside face of the center housing.

4. Return flow: The oil then drips down due to gravity and is collected by the oil drain, returning it to the sump to be recirculated.

Think of it like a miniature sprinkler or a slinger. It actively moves the oil from the shaft back to where it needs to go.
