Edwards RV Series Shaft Sleeve Replacement Kit

The repair is usually performed from the external motor and coupling end of the pump. You do not need to remove the rotor, stator, or pumping stages .

Here is a simplified overview :

1. Switch off the pump, disconnect it from the electrical supply, and allow it to cool.

2. Drain the oil from the pump.

3. Remove the coupling and motor-side components to access the seal carrier.

4. Remove the seal carrier from the pump.

5. Press out the old shaft seal from the seal carrier.

6. Remove the old shaft sleeve from the rotor shaft.

7. Inspect the shaft for any damage.

8. Fit the new O-ring onto the shaft sleeve.

9. Install the new shaft sleeve onto the rotor shaft.

10. Press the new shaft seal into the seal carrier (using the shaft seal spacer from the Clean & Overhaul kit if needed ).

11. Replace the seal carrier gasket.

12. Reassemble the seal carrier, coupling, and motor.

13. Refill the pump with fresh, clean oil.
