This is an OEM replacement Gas Ballast Tube Assembly for Edwards E1M40 and E2M40 rotary vane pumps. This assembly includes the metal pipe that connects the gas ballast valve to the pump stator. It directs the flow of air or inert gas into the low vacuum stage of the pump to prevent condensation of vapors . It is a critical component of the gas ballast system on these pumps.
