This is a vital seal for your Leybold Trivac pump. It fits around the spinning motor shaft where it enters the pump. Its job is simple: keep the oil in and the dirt out. A good seal prevents leaks and protects your pump’s bearings. This seal is made from Buna-N, also called Nitrile rubber. It’s one of the most common materials for oil seals. Because it handles petroleum-based oils and greases very well. It’s also tough and provides good sealing pressure. For standard vacuum pump oil and general use, Buna-N is a dependable and cost-effective material.
