This is a Edwards replacement oil thrower for the DP80 dry pump. The oil thrower (also called an oil slinger) flings oil onto the shaft seals to keep them lubricated . If you are rebuilding your DP80 pump, this is the correct OEM replacement part.

      This oil thrower is designed for the Edwards DP80 dry pump and its variants, the QDP80 and IQDP80 . These are single-stage, oil-sealed pumps used in demanding industrial and research applications. They can reach very high vacuum levels down to 5 x 10⁻¹¹ mbar.
