The Spring (Inlet Valve) St/St RVP (Part #20525-049) is a direct replacement spring for Edwards RV series vacuum pumps. It fits RV3, RV5, RV8, and RV12 models . This small stainless steel spring is part of the inlet valve assembly. It helps control the air entering the pump. If your pump is losing vacuum or not performing well, this spring may be worn or broken. Replace it as part of a complete pump overhaul

SPRING (INLET VALVE) ST/ST RVP
The inlet valve controls the flow of air and gas into your pump. It opens when the pump is running. It lets gas in so the pump can create a vacuum. But it also acts like a one-way door. It prevents gas from flowing backward out of the pump.
If the inlet valve does not work correctly, your pump will lose vacuum. Air will leak back out. Your system will not work properly.
