This is a Edwards taper dowel pin. It measures 10mm in diameter and 36mm in length. Part number 27013-013. It is used inside Edwards vacuum pumps. The taper design helps align parts perfectly.

      A taper dowel is a small metal pin. It looks like a short, thick needle. But it is not round like a normal pin.

      It is tapered. That means it is thicker on one end and thinner on the other. It gets narrower as it goes.

      This special shape helps it fit very tightly into a tapered hole. When you push it in, it locks into place.
