It is a higher viscosity oil designed specifically for EH series mechanical booster pumps, QMB booster pumps, and EV series rotary vane pumps . It offers excellent lubrication for large pumps used in heavy-duty applications and has a vapour pressure of 2.1 x 10⁻⁷ mbar at 20°C .

Ultragrade 20 is a high-quality vacuum pump oil made by Edwards. It is designed for larger pumps that need a higher viscosity oil . This oil is not like regular motor oil. It is made for the tough conditions inside a vacuum pump.
Most manufacturers make oil using a solvent refining process. But Edwards uses a different method. It is called a hydrotreating process .
