The oil pump vane is part of the pump’s internal oil circulation system. This vane helps move oil through the pump. It ensures that oil reaches all the bearings and moving parts. Without a good oil pump vane, your pump will not get proper lubrication. That leads to overheating and failure.
In the Edwards E2M18 Blade Kit (Part #36301020ED), the oil pump vane is included as a standard component . The Clean and Overhaul Kit for these pumps also includes this vane . That tells you this is a critical part that needs replacement during service.
