Diaphragm, E2M275, Edwards, Part# 27159416

This valve controls the flow of gas from your system into the pumping mechanism. It is a type of check valve. It lets gas in. It stops gas from flowing back out.

The diaphragm is the flexible part that makes the valve work. Think of it like a small rubber flap. When the pump pulls a vacuum, the diaphragm opens. Gas flows in. When the pump stops, the diaphragm closes. It seals against the valve seat. The vacuum stays in your system.

The inlet valve diaphragm is part of the inlet valve sub-assembly. The Edwards manual shows this as sub-assembly “B” for the E2M175S and E2M275S pumps .

The inlet valve is located on the top or side of the pump, near the intake port. The diaphragm sits inside the valve body. It is held in place by a retainer or spring.
