Disc, Face, Viton, Edwards, Part# 26501018

This Face Disc is designed for two specific Edwards pump models:

• Edwards E2M.7

• Edwards E2M2

These are the smaller pumps in the E2M family. The E2M2 has a displacement of 2.5 m³/h. It is often used as a backing pump for small systems.

Viton is a brand name for FKM (fluorocarbon elastomer). It is a high-performance rubber.

Here is why Viton is used for this part.

• Good chemical resistance: Viton resists many oils, fuels, and chemicals. It does not swell or break down easily.

• Good temperature range: Viton works well from about -10°C up to 200°C (14°F to 194°F).

• Long life: Viton lasts a long time in normal service compared to standard rubber.

• Low outgassing: In vacuum systems, materials release trapped gases. Viton has relatively low outgassing.
