This is an OEM Exhaust Silencer for the Edwards XDS35i dry scroll vacuum pump This silencer fits onto the NW25 exhaust port of the pump . It has two main functions: to reduce exhaust noise and to collect and retain tip seal dust produced by the pump during operation

      The Edwards XDS35i is a powerful dry scroll pump. It is used in many labs and clean processes. But dry scroll pumps naturally produce a fine dust from the tip seals as they run . This dust can contaminate your workspace. Also, the exhaust noise can be very loud, especially during pump-down.
