The Edwards Vane, 1st Stage – GX (Part #20402089FR) is a replacement vane for Edwards E1M80 and E2M80 vacuum pumps . This vane is made from GX material, a high-strength polymer that is both thermally stable and corrosion resistant. The vanes are the parts inside your pump that slide in and out of the rotor.

The rotor spins inside the pump cylinder. The vanes slide in and out of the rotor slots. They press against the cylinder wall. As the rotor turns, the vanes trap gas between themselves and the cylinder wall. Then they push that gas toward the exhaust.
The vanes maintain a close seal against the wall of the pumping chamber. This prevents gas from leaking back across the pump. Without good vanes, your pump cannot create a strong vacuum .
