This is a replacement Cooling Coil Assembly for the Edwards EH1200 mechanical booster pump. The coil is part of the water cooling system that keeps the pump at the right temperature during operation.

The EH1200 is too big for a fan to cool effectively. It needs a constant supply of cooling water to run properly. The pump has specific cooling water requirements that must be met for safe operation .
If you try to run the pump without cooling water, it can overheat. The service manual notes that you can run the EH1200 without cooling water for short periods. But only if the inlet pressure is kept below 5 mbar and the pumpdown time is no longer than 10 minutes .
For normal continuous operation, you need the cooling system working properly.
