This is a Edwards replacement Co-Seal for ISO100 flanges. It has an FKM (Viton) rubber seal. The GP means general purpose. This Co-Seal eliminates crevices and trapped gas volumes. It is designed for high vacuum down to 10⁻⁸ Torr.

A Co-Seal is a special type of vacuum seal. It is different from a regular centering ring and O-ring. The Co-Seal has a polymer support ring. The rubber seal is attached to it. The whole thing is one piece.The Co-Seal has a very clever design. When you install it, the inner face of the seal is directly exposed to the vacuum system. There is nothing between the rubber and the gas .
